Ruby Monsen

Ruby Monsen (she/they) is a Pescadaro-based artist who primarily works with acrylic paint. They are part of the lineage of Intentional Creativity™, where painters work through feelings and thoughts on the canvas in layers and colors. There’s no finished product in mind, they instead allow the painting to show itself through process. These are medicine paintings, meant to be used to work through the internal questions of the artist or anyone who needs them. Ruby’s work is lyrical in nature and often based on dreams. This makes each of her paintings visually distinct and unique, while still being united by their bright colors and dreamlike feel.
